"We Must Speak : Part 2 " ✝️

This week, we come to the conviction of proclamation. Many Christians know the truth… but lack the conviction to tell others. We look at the world… at the violence, at the hostility around us… and instead of feeling convicted to proclaim the truth, we just really want to hide under a rock.

And yet throughout Scripture, God’s people are called to proclaim His Word. Jonah ran from Nineveh because he lacked the conviction to proclaim the truth… he did not want to reveal the mystery.

But Paul shows us where this conviction comes from… and it rests in God’s motive… really His will and God’s mystery. What was once hidden has now been revealed. The mystery is made manifest. God has made known the riches of His glory among the Gentiles… “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

And throughout this passage, we see that this message is not discovered through human wisdom or observation. It must be revealed. It must be spoken. God makes His mystery known through His Word and through His Spirit, opening the eyes of His people to understand the truth.

As we walk through these verses, we see the conviction of proclamation… hidden now revealed, ethnic now international, public now personal… and through it all, we are reminded that God’s glory is now revealed in Christ through His people to the nations.
